Township of Langley, BC (Saturday, November 21, 2015) – The Langley Rivermen swept the season series against the Trail Smoke Eaters with a 4-2 win on Saturday night at the Langley Events Centre. It marked the second come from behind victory in as many days and overall stretched their winning streak to three games. Nick Trenciansky started in goal for the Rivermen, while the Smoke Eaters countered with Bailey MacBurnie.

Early in the second period, Troy Ring experienced a moment that he soon will not forget. After signing with the Rivermen as a full-time player on Friday, the young blue-liner scored his first BCHL goal to even the game at 1-1. It was a perfectly executed three-way passing play off the rush between himself, Adam Sinclair, and Torrin White who drew the assists. However, at 16:39 the ‘Smokies got their lead back with a power play goal from Scott once again and took a 2-1 lead after 40 minutes.

Less than two minutes into the third period, Will Campion scored his fourth of the season to even up the score at 2-2. The Rivermen defenseman flew down the right-wing and took a great feed from Matthew Graham and fired a pin point shot beneath the blocker of MacBurnie. With the helper, Graham extended his point streak to seven games. At 6:42, the Riv got their first lead of the game thanks to a beautiful goal from Justin Szeto. The Harvard commit, chipped the puck around a Trail defenseman at the Riv blue line and raced down on a 2 on 1 and fired a hard wrist shot up high on MacBurnie. For Szeto, it was an unassisted goal and ninth tally of the season. Torrin White added the insurance marker into the empty net to make it a 4-2 final.

It was another character win from the Rivermen who are now 15-11-0-0 on the season. Nick Trencianksy earned his eighth victory of the year stopping 28 shots, while MacBurnie was charged the loss turning away 29 pucks.
