Rivermen Add Campbell to Line-Up

Township of Langley, BC, Thursday, November 24, 2011: The Langley Rivermen are pleased to announce the signing of forward Evan Campbell. Evan is a 1993 born player that played 17 games for the Coquitlam Express this season. He picked up 1 goal and 1 assist in his time with the Express and should fit right in to the Rivermen line up.

“Evan is a power forward with a lot of upside and a good set of hands," said Rivermen Assistant Coach Jordan Emmerson on the teams newest addition, "he has a good first powerful stride for a bigger kid and is still really young."

Evan will make his debut in a Rivermen uniform against his former club the Coquitlam Express on Friday night at the Poirier Sports  and Leisure Centre.

At the end of the Sunday game, kids will be able to “Skate with the Rivermen”. This will mark the first time this season the skate will take place and we encourage all kids to bring their skates to the game in what will be a fun event!  The weekend also marks the BCHL's 50th Anniversary Celebration so the Rivermen will be helping raise proceeds for KidSport BC.  Finally, the Rivermen will also be showing the Grey Cup (in between periods and during the Skate with the Rivermen) on the LEC Video screen in support of the BC Lions.
