Rivermen Spread Holiday Cheer

Township of Langley, BC, Tuesday, December 20, 2011: Members of the Langley Rivermen Junior “A” Hockey Club made two very special deliveries on Monday morning. Captain Ryan Bakken, Sebastien Pare, and Ray Bell along with Fraser the Riverman dropped off stuffed animals to the Langley Memorial Hospital for kids in Pediatrics. The stuffed toys were from the Rivermen’s Teddy Bear Toss night that took place this past Saturday at the Langley Events Centre against the Prince George Spruce Kings.

After the drop off at the Hospital, the Rivermen players then made their way to the Langley Food Bank to make a special food delivery from the Food Bank Drive that took place on Friday night against the Powell River Kings. The Rivermen organization would like to thank everybody who kindly donated food or toy items last weekend at the home games.

The Langley Rivermen will close out the month of December with two home games. The Coastal Conference leading Cowichan Valley Capitals will pay a visit on December 28th at 7PM, followed by the Nanaimo Clippers coming to the Langley Events Centre on the 29th. For tickets call 604.882.8800.
