The British Columbia Hockey League is pleased to announce it is continuing its partnership with TEAM 1040 radio for a third straight season and will again have 12 games aired live during the upcoming campaign.
“We are thrilled to be a part of another great BCHL season here at the TEAM 1040,” said TEAM radio assistant programming director Mike Whittingham. “The on-air crew of Blake Price, Jeff Paterson and Matt Baker will once again bring the excitement of Junior A hockey to TEAM 1040 listeners.”
Games will be broadcast from each BCHL rink in the Lower Mainland which includes Coquitlam, Surrey, Langley and Chilliwack. More teams from the Interior and Vancouver Island will be featured than ever before including Alberni Valley, Penticton, Powell River, Westside, Trail, Vernon and Victoria. Broadcasts will begin with the season opener on Sept. 23 between the Penticton Vees and Coquitlam Express.
“I’m excited for our teams to receive this type of exposure again this season,” said BCHL commissioner John Grisdale. “TEAM radio has been a great partner of ours these last three seasons and does an excellent job of calling the action from our rinks.”
