Home Stand Continues with Rivermen Set to Host Coquitlam, Prince George

The Rivermen are back in action at home this Friday and Saturday against the Coquitlam Express and Prince George Spruce Kings. They will be competing for their first win of the young season as they complete a five-game home stand to open the year. Following those games, the Riv head down the road to face off against the Surrey Eagles on Sunday afternoon.

Coming off an 8-5 loss to West Kelowna on the previous weekend, there are many Riv players showing their strengths early on. Defenseman Jake Livingstone currently leads the team with five assists for five points while rookie Tristan Fraser is off to a hot start with four goals. Brendan Budy has picked up where he left off with a goal and three assists through the first three games. Langley is 0-3-0-0 to start off the season. As for their opponents, Coquitlam has picked up wins in its first two games for a 2-0-0-0 record, Prince George owns a record of 1-1-2-0, and Surrey sits at 2-3-0-0.

Game times for this weekend are 7:15 pm on both Friday and Saturday at the Lodge. Sunday’s start time is slated for 4:00 pm at South Surrey Arena.
