Langley Looks to Rebound as the Chiefs Come to Town Friday

The Langley Rivermen will return home this Friday to host the Chilliwack Chiefs after a lengthy five-game road swing came to an end this past weekend in Prince George. This will be the third meeting of the season between the two squads. Each team has pulled out a win in the first two matchups. On Sunday, the Riv will head down the road to Surrey for an afternoon game with the Eagles.

Two Rivermen are leading the charge for the team on the scoring front. Brendan Budy has stayed on fire throughout the season, potting 10 goals and 19 assists for 29 points on the campaign so far. That total is good for third in the BCHL scoring race. Jake Livingstone sits second in BCHL defensemen scoring with 21 points of his own.

Game time for Friday’s matchup at the Lodge is 7:15 pm. Sunday in Surrey will begin at 4:00 pm.

Tickets for home games can be purchased online at, at the George Preston Recreation Centre “The Lodge” box office 45 minutes before puck drop, and by calling 604-229-2352 or emailing
