Langley Ready to Face Prince George in the BCHL Road Show in Kitimat

There’s a new stage for the Rivermen this weekend as they take center stage in Kitimat to face the Prince George Spruce Kings in the BCHL Road Show for a pair of games this weekend. This past week, the Rivermen dropped games to the Victoria Grizzlies and Cowichan Valley Capitals on the road.

Since arriving on Thursday, both the Rivermen and the Spruce Kings have participated in many activities around the community, including school visits and coaching hockey camps and clinics. It’s safe to say that it’s been an exciting weekend so far for the teams and fans in Kitimat, but tonight they’ll get to show off their skills in front of the crowd for the first of the two-game show.

Currently, the Rivermen (21-29-2-1-1) sit in fourth place in the Mainland Division with four games left in the regular season. Although they’ve been behind the Riv in the standings, the Spruce Kings (17-31-2-4-0) have had their number so far, leading the season series 6-0. Langley will be seeking revenge in these final two meetings between the teams as they prepare for the playoffs.

Game time for tonight is 7:00 pm while tomorrow’s matchup will start at 1:00 pm. Both games are being played at Tamitik Arena.

Tickets for home games can be purchased online at HappsNow.com, at the George Preston Recreation Centre “The Lodge” box office 45 minutes before puck drop, and by calling 604-229-2352 or emailing tickets@langleyrivermen.com.
