Matthew Loo commits to the Rivermen for the 2021-22 season

The Langley Rivermen are excited to announce that 2005-born defenseman Matthew Loo has committed to the team for the 2021-22 season.

The Vancouver, BC product comes to Langley after playing last season with the Burnaby Winter Club U16 team. In a shortened season last year due to Covid-19, Loo was still able to score two goals and he added six assists in five games.

Loo sent in the following message when asked about his reaction to joining the Rivermen.

“I’m really excited to join such a great hockey organization in the Rivermen. It’ll be awesome to play for a team with such a rich history and strong roots in the community. I am looking forward to working hard for my coaches, my teammates, and the Riv fans! I can’t wait to get started on contributing to the team this season.”

The 16-year old will kick off his rookie campaign in the BCHL when training camp opens up in less than a week on September 17th.
