Owen Kim commits to the Rivermen for the 2021-22 season

The Langley Rivermen are excited to announce that 2004-born forward Owen Kim has committed to the team for the 2021-22 season.

The product of North Vancouver, BC joins the Rivermen after spending the last two seasons with the Vancouver NW Hawks U18 AAA team. Last season was cut short due to Covid but during the 2019-20 season, Kim had five goals and eight assists in 35 games. He also put up 60 penalty minutes.

“I act bigger than I am. My size may be deceiving but I like to cause trouble out on the ice, and I have a scoring touch.” Kim said when he was asked what Rivermen fans can expect to see out of him next year. “I think we are going to have a fun team this season, a skilled team rather than a big team running around out there. I am pumped to get started.”

Kim becomes the second player to commit to the Rivermen this offseason and he will be in Langley come September for training camp.
