Victoria Grizzlies forward Ellis Rickwood, Langley Rivermen forward Riley Wallack and Salmon Arm Silverbacks forward Noah Serdachny have been named the BCHL 3 Stars of the Week.

1st Star – Ellis Rickwood (F) – Victoria Grizzlies

Rickwood led all BCHL players in scoring last week, collecting nine points over three home games. His six helpers were also tops in the league.

The second-year Grizzlies forward notched an assist in Thursday’s 4-3 loss to the Nanaimo Clippers, but caught fire after that. On Saturday night, Rickwood scored once and added two assists for a three-point night in his team’s 8-1 win over the Powell River Kings. On Sunday afternoon, in a rematch against Powell River, the Brantford, Ont. native registered five points on two goals and three assists in Victoria’s 8-0 victory. He was named the game’s first star.

After his big offensive week, Rickwood now sits third in BCHL scoring with 52 points in 32 games and his 40 assists lead the league. Last year’s Alberni Pod MVP and leading scorer is currently riding an 11-game point streak and has at least a point in 20 of his last 21 games played.

2nd Star – Riley Wallack (F) – Langley Rivermen

Wallack finished his week with four goals and four assists for eight points to help Langley to three straight wins.

On Wednesday, the 20-year-old had two assists in the Rivermen’s 4-2 win over the Coquitlam Express. On Friday, against the Cowichan Valley Capitals, Wallack had another two points, including the game-tying goal with 35 seconds left in the third period in his team’s eventual 3-2 overtime win. In a rematch with Cowichan on Saturday, the South Surrey, B.C. product notched his first-career BCHL hat trick and also chipped in with an assist for a four-point evening and first-star honours.

Wallack leads the Rivermen with 19 goals and 40 points on the year, both of which put him in the top-15 in the league.

3rd Star – Noah Serdachny (F) – Salmon Arm Silverbacks

Serdachny had the most goals of any BCHL player last week with five and his eight points were tied for second most among all players.

The Colorado College commit lit the lamp twice on Wednesday, including the game-winning goal, and also added an assist in Salmon Arm’s 7-4 win over the Merritt Centennials. On Friday, Serdachny scored his team’s second goal in an eventual 3-0 shutout against the Cranbrook Bucks. In the rematch against Cranbrook on Saturday, he had a four-point night on two goals and two assists in the ‘Backs 6-5 shootout loss.

The 18-year-old is tied for eighth in BCHL scoring with 45 points in 33 games and his 21 goals are seventh most in the league. He has 13 points over his current seven-game scoring streak.
