Township of Langley, BC (Friday, June 26, 2015) – The Langley Rivermen will open the 2015-16 BCHL regular season starting on the road against the Surrey Eagles on Friday, September 11. The Rivermen’s 2015-16 home opener will be the following week when they host the Prince George Spruce Kings on Saturday, September 19 at 6:00PM at the Langley Events Centre. The next day, Sunday, September 20, the Rivermen will host the newest BCHL franchise, the Wenatchee Wild, who make their first visit to the LEC.
The new season will come with some new game times for Rivermen fans. All weekday games will start at 7:15PM, allowing more time for fans to arrive during the week. Saturday games will start at 6:00PM, allowing families to get home earlier. The Rivermen will also have eight Sunday games, all 3:00PM start times. The goal of the adjusted game times is to provide more family friendly time slots for fans.
The Rivermen play 34 of their 58 games against divisional opponents, 14 against the Interior Division and the remaining 10 versus the Island Division. The club will announce their schedule of promotional nights closer to the start of training camp.
