Township of Langley, BC, Tuesday, August 16, 2011: The Langley Rivermen is pleased to announce their upcoming Exhibition schedule starting in early September. The Rivermen will host two games in Langley against the Wenatchee Wild of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) on Friday September 9th and Saturday September 10th. Both games will take place at the George Preston Recreation Centre at 7 PM with admission of $5 dollars (under 6 free, cash only).
The Rivermen will then conclude the Exhibition schedule with two away games starting on Friday, September 16th against the Surrey Eagles at the South Surrey Recreation Centre at 7 PM. The last game on the pre season slate will take place one night later on Saturday, September 17th when the Rivermen play SFU at Bill Copeland Arena in Burnaby at 7PM.
“We are really excited about playing Wenatchee in Langley, this is a great opportunity for junior hockey fans both in Langley and the Fraser valley to see our counterparts to the south,” quoted Roy Henderson, the team’s Owner and President.
