The Rivermen will kick off their season at home on Friday, September 9th at 7:15 PM vs the Chilliwack Chiefs. This will be the first game in their new home the ‘Lodge’ at George Preston Recreation Centre. Single game tickets go on sale August 15th.
The British Columbia Hockey League will again have a 58 game season. Each team play 28 home and away games and will have two games played at the BCHL Showcase, which takes place September 21 to 26th at Prospera Centre in Chilliwack. The Rivermen will play mostly weekends with 10 home games being played on a Saturday, 7 Friday and 5 Sunday games.
Probably the best news for the fans in Langley, the Rivermen and the Giants only overlap on four home nights throughout the season; two in October and two in November.
