The Langley Rivermen 3 game home stand concludes on Friday at home against the Nanaimo Clippers, the two teams third meeting of the season. Sunday is a trip out to the South Surrey Arena for the third time this season to take on the Surrey Eagles.
Langley picked up three out of a possible four points this past weekend, defeating the Prince George Spruce Kings on Friday at the George Preston Arena 6-3, and Saturday was a 4-3 overtime loss to the Alberni Valley Bulldogs.
Nanaimo will come into Langley on Friday winners of their previous two games, a home and home matchup with the Powell River Kings. Friday’s game at the Frank Crane Arena found the Clippers come away with a 7-1 win at home. The two teams met in Powell River on Sunday for a matinee game, with Nanaimo defeating the Kings 7-2.
NANAIMO PLAYER TO WATCH
#15 Dylan Kinch – the 2004 born forward has been cooking in his last two games, picking up four goals and four assists in last weekend Clippers beat down of the Powell River Kings. The Calgary, Alberta product was traded to Nanaimo last year from Chilliwack, and has fit in seamlessly with the Clippers in his third BCHL season.
Sunday is a trip out to the South Surrey Arena for the fourth meeting of the season against the Surrey Eagles, with the Rivermen sporting a 1-1-0-1 record this season against their lower mainland rivals.
The Eagles are also coming off a weekend of picking up 3 out of a possible four points at home, dropping a 4-3 overtime decision to the Victoria Grizzlies on Friday, and a 5-2 win over Cowichan on Saturday.
SURREY PLAYER TO WATCH
#6 Cameron Caron – the Dracut, Massechusetts born forward has been on fire the last few games for Surrey, collecting 5 goals and two assists in his last 6 games played. The Northeastern commit had a goal and two assists in the last meeting between Langley and Surrey on November 1st, and will look to be a threat on Sunday for his team.

#19 Ryan Schelling – The Former Surrey Eagle has been scoring at will for the Rivermen of late, collecting goals in 5 of his last 6 games, including three last weekend in the two matchups with Alberni Valley and Prince George. Suffern, New York’s own will look to continue what he has built so far this season, currently sitting fourth in BCHL scoring.
