The Langley Rivermen are excited to announce their third committed player for the 2024-25 BCHL season, as 2007 born defenseman Ethan Armstrong will be joining the Riv for next season.
Armstrong was born in Toronto, Ontario and that is where he spent his minor youth before transitioning to British Columbia. He was part of the Toronto Jr. Canadiens U15 team in 2021-22 but due to COVID-19 the season was shut down.
In 2022-23, Armstrong played with the Toronto Jr. Canadiens U16 team, playing in 29 games and collecting one goal and four assists.
This season, Shawinigan Lake School U18 in the CSSHL is where Ethan has been plying his trade. He has scored four goals to go along with 16 assists in 23 games played. His 20 points lead his team’s defensemen, and ranks him 9th among d-men in the entire CSSHL U18 league.
Armstrong was also in pre-season with the Rivermen, playing in one game before picking up an injury. “I am honoured to be a part of such an amazing organization, and cannot wait to get started!”, said Ethan about joining the team for next season.
Welcome to the Rivermen, Ethan!
