Richardson Rejoins the Rivermen: A Testament to the Club’s Dedication to Developing Homegrown Talent

Langley, BC – July 04, 2023The Langley Rivermen are delighted to welcome back Mac Richardson for the upcoming season. Hailing from New Westminster, this forward is anticipated to bring a fresh zeal to the game, building on his previous experience with the Rivermen in the BCHL.

“It’s a joy to have Mac Richardson back in our team,” expressed Head Coach Burt Henderson. “His past contributions, although brief, left a lasting impression. We’re confident that his return will infuse our forward lineup with renewed vigor.”

His earlier stint with the Rivermen, albeit short-lived, showcased Richardson’s potential and provided a taste of the BCHL environment. His scoring expertise, gleaned from his time in the BCEHL U18, further underlines his potential for making a substantial contribution.

Associate Head Coach Tyler Kuntz remarked, “Mac is a good young player and product of a well-established Semiahmoo minor hockey program that is known for it’s elite development. We’re eager to see the competitive edge he will bring to our program.”

Richardson’s return is a testament to the Rivermen’s commitment to developing and retaining local talent. Director of Hockey Operations, Curt Fraser, added, “Mac’s return not only bolsters our lineup but also emphasizes our resolve to cultivate local talent.
