The Langley Rivermen made a massive signing last week, putting pen to paper on 2005 born Latvian forward Davids Livsics.
Livsics started this year with RoKi U20 in Finland, scoring four goals and collecting 11 assists in 21 games played. His 15 points put him 6th in RoKi team scoring, which participates in Finland’s top junior league.
He also played for HK Kurbads in Latvia, from U17 all the way to the U23 level in his home country.
In addition, he has represented his country internationally, in two World U18 tournaments, collecting two goals and an assists in 9 games spread over two tournaments.
Recently, he was apart of Latvia’s squad at the 2025 World Junior Championship in Ottawa, scoring against the United States and assisting the late tying goal in his countries 3-2 shootout upset win over Canada.
He will bring a strong scoring touch and ability to help the Rivermen win key faceoffs as he is a centre by trade.
Livsics will make his debut on Sunday in Coquitlam against the Express in the two team’s second meeting of the weekend, and will wear #16.
