A Fond Farewell: Langley Rivermen Express Gratitude as Tanner Attew Moves to Coquitlam Express
Langley, BC – July 18, 2023 – In a significant trade deal within the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL), the Langley Rivermen have transferred right-shooting defenseman, Tanner Attew, to the Coquitlam Express for future considerations.
Tanner Attew, who hails from South Surrey, BC, has proven his mettle on the ice in the two seasons he has played with the Rivermen. Born on Sep 23, 2003, the young and dynamic player stands tall at 6’2″ and weighs 194 lbs. His stats speak volumes about his skills, with his 2021-22 season featuring 27 points (6 goals, 21 assists) in 44 games and 7 points in 15 playoff games. In his 2022-23 season, Attew garnered 20 points (7 goals, 13 assists) in 40 games and 3 points in 4 playoff games.
Head Coach Burt Henderson expressed his admiration for Attew, stating, “Tanner’s skill on the ice has been instrumental in shaping our defense in the past seasons. His tactical understanding and strength in his position have contributed immensely to our team’s performance.”
Associate Coach Tyler Kuntz added, “Tanner has been an invaluable part of our team, and while we’re sad to see him go, we’re confident in his ability to make a significant impact at the Coquitlam Express. We wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors.”
