Following in Father’s Footsteps: Noah Macdonald Signs with Langley

Langley Rivermen Fortify Their Forward Line with Noah Macdonald

Langley, BC – June 29, 2023 – The Langley Rivermen are excited to announce the signing of Noah Macdonald, an accomplished forward from the Chilliwack Chiefs. Standing at 5’10”, 17-year-old Macdonald follows in the footsteps of his father, former Langley Eagle and NHL player Doug Macdonald.

Head Coach Burt Henderson expressed his excitement, stating, “We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome Noah to our team. His BCHL experience with the Chiefs, combined with his legacy of hockey excellence through his father, makes him a fantastic addition to our forward line.”

Noah Macdonald’s signing symbolizes more than just the acquisition of a promising forward. It continues a family legacy, connecting the Rivermen with their past as the Eagles, and reinforcing the team’s commitment to fostering the next generation of hockey talent.

Associate Head Coach Tyler Kuntz echoed these sentiments, saying, “Noah’s one season with the Chiefs has shown us his potential, and his family history in Langley is just icing on the cake. We can’t wait to see him develop and excel here with the Rivermen.”

Curt Fraser, Director of Hockey Operations, added, “The signing of Noah is about much more than talent acquisition. It’s about heritage, continuity, and nurturing the hockey legacy in Langley. We’re delighted to have him on board.”

As we prepare for the new season, we invite Rivermen fans to cheer on Noah and the rest of our team. It’s time for exciting, high-stakes hockey action!
