Game Day Preview

Langley, BC – The Rivermen are looking to continue their hot streak as they face off against the Prince George Spruce Kings tonight (November 2) at the Langley Events Centre. The Rivermen are now 12-5-1-1 and have won 3 straight as they host a Spruce Kings team that’s won 4 straight of their own.

Tonight’s battle will be for first in the BCHL Mainland division as the Rivermen lead the division by two points over Prince George with the Rivermen having one game in hand. In their only other meeting of the season the Spruce Kings came away with a 3-1 victory at the Langley Events Centre.

It’s going to be a battle of two of the hottest teams in the BCHL when these teams clash tonight and both teams are coming off a solid month of hockey. Both teams have been beating up on their other division rivals, as the Spruce Kings won in Surrey last night and the Rivermen beat out Chilliwack on Wednesday earlier this week.  The newest member of the Rivermen, Jamie Vlanich, played in the Chilliwack game and provided an extra boost to the lineup while also adding one assist in his first game with the Rivermen.

The Rivermen are hoping their strong scoring touch continues tonight as they’ve outscored their opponents 19 to 7 in their last 3 games. Puck drop is at 7:15pm at the Langley Events Centre.
