O’Rourke Resigns, Henderson New Coach/GM

The Langley Rivermen Junior 'A' Hockey Club has announced the resignation of Head Coach and General Manager Steve O’Rourke. Steve just finished his first year behind the bench in the inaugural Rivermen season and has resigned due to personal reasons.

Steve came to the club from the Abbottsford Heat of the American Hockey League, where he spent two seasons as an Assistant Coach, and led the Rivermen to a seventh place finish with a 19-35-1-5 record worth a total of 44 points.
 
“I would like to thank the Henderson family for the opportunity and the fans in Langley for their support and I wish them well" said O’Rourke.
           
The Rivermen would like to thank Steve for his contributions to the team and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.
 
Bobby Henderson, the clubs' Assistant Coach, will take over as Head Coach and General Manager making him the second in franchise history.  Jordan Emmerson will be the teams' Associate Head Coach.
