The Rivermen welcome the Vernon Vipers and Cowichan Valley Capitals to the Lodge this weekend after a successful pair of games against division rivals. Last weekend, the Rivermen pulled out a gutsy 6-5 overtime victory over the Chilliwack Chiefs then beat the Surrey Eagles 2-1 in shootout fashion. Over the two games, Brendan Budy (University of North Dakota) put up four points and a shootout winner, Jake Livingstone (Minnesota State) notched four points, and Ryan Helliwell (Notre Dame) added three points. It was an exciting week for these three men as they also signed their NLI’s for their respective schools.
This will be the first meeting of the season between the Rivermen and Vipers. Langley and Cowichan Valley previously met this season at the BCHL Showcase, where the Rivermen came away with a 4-2 win.
Game time on Friday night vs. Vernon is 7:15 pm and 2:30 pm on Sunday vs. Cowichan Valley. Join us for a post game skate with the players on Sunday afternoon. They will also be available for pictures and autographs on the ice. Friday Night will be Movember Night at the Lodge, so put on your best mustache.
