The Langley Rivermen are excited to announce the hiring of Burt Henderson as their new Head coach and General Manager effective immediately.
The product of Burnaby, B.C. played 13 seasons of professional hockey that included stops in the United States, Asia and Europe before retiring in 2009.
He is no stranger to the George Preston Recreation Centre as he previously served as the president and head coach of the Langley Trappers of the Pacific Junior Hockey League from 2018 until this past season. His coaching career also saw stops with the Rivermen as their skills coach in 2017-18 and he was the assistant coach for the West Van Academy Bantam Prep team in 2019-20.
Henderson steps into this role immediately and will be working to prepare for the 2021-22 BCHL season.
