Township of Langley, BC (Tuesday, March 3, 2015) – The Langley Rivermen and Prince George Spruce Kings renew their heated rivalry with a best-of-seven series in one of two BCHL Mainland Division semi-finals, starting tonight (Tuesday, March 3rd) at the Langley Events Centre (LEC).
The Rivermen finished second in the Mainland with a 29-23-1-5 record, ending the 2014-15 regular season with a win in Prince George which locked up second place.
The Prince George Spruce Kings ended up with 61 points, 3 behind the Rivermen as the Spruce Kings finished with a 27-24-1-6 record.
This will be the first ever postseason matchup between Langley and Prince George. In nine regular season meetings this season, the Rivermen had a slight edge in the nine game season series, with a 5-3-0-1 record against their division rivals. Despite that, Prince George outscored Langley 30-26.
