Township of Langley, BC (Thursday, April 9, 2015) – Even though he hasn’t played in a month, forward Marcus Vela finds himself on the final NHL Central Scouting List in advance of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
Vela is one of five BCHL players and ten CJHL players on the final player rankings. There were 210 North American skaters rated. The 18-year old had a career-year for the Rivermen, scoring 46 points (20 goals, 26 assists) in 50 games. He also represented Canada West at the 2014 World Junior ‘A’ Challenge and Team West at the 2015 CJHL Prospects Game. Vela is committed to the University of New Hampshire (NCAA Division I).

The 2015 NHL Entry Draft will be the 53rd in league history and will be held June 26 and 27 in Sunrise, Florida.
