Michigan’s Adyn Merrick Joins the Rivermen’s Offensive Roster

Adyn Merrick: Adding USHL and NAHL Experience to the Rivermen

Langley, BC – June 30, 2023

 The Langley Rivermen continue their mission to foster excellence and attract elite young athletes, as they proudly welcome 17-year-old forward Adyn Merrick to their roster. Hailing from Saline, Michigan, Merrick brings a rich tapestry of hockey experiences, including noteworthy stints with Little Caesars 16U AAA and the Springfield Jr. Blues in the NAHL. The young athlete, who has made a commitment to Northern Michigan University, is poised to infuse the Rivermen’s offensive line with new vigor and promise.

“Adyn’s impressive track record, including his time with Little Caesars 16U AAA, where he scored 18 goals in 45 games, is a testament to his skills as a forward,” expressed Head Coach Burt Henderson. “His versatility and offensive capabilities will undoubtedly enhance our forward lineup.”

The addition of Adyn Merrick serves to enrich the Rivermen’s attacking prowess, promising a thrilling season for the fans and players alike.

Associate Head Coach Tyler Kuntz also weighed in on the signing, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome Adyn to the Rivermen. He’s a big crafty forward that adds offense, competitiveness and versatility to our forward group. He played in a very competitive league as a 16 year old for half of last season and had a strong finish to his season. We look forward to assisting Adyn in his path towards college hockey at Notthern Michigan and beyond.”

Curt Fraser, Director of Hockey Operations, added, “Bringing in Adyn exemplifies our goal to shape a high-performance team capable of dynamic play. We are confident that his energy and skills will prove invaluable to our lineup.”
